Well, school started last Wednesday. Management Information Systems is the game, and I'll be playing for the next two years. It'll probably be just shy of four months to another post now... Live hard, play hard.

Once upon a time, I, Chuang Tzu, dreamt I was a butterfly, flitting around and enjoying myself. I had no idea I was Chuang Tzu. Then suddenly I woke up and was Chuang Tzu again. But I could not tell, had I been Chuang Tzu dreaming I was a butterfly, or a butterfly dreaming I was now Chuang Tzu? - The Book of Chuang Tzu

It's funny how timidly, and frigidly we embrace our dreams. Though I am not talking about everyone, many people are afraid of the dreams they have. In a book I am reading, the author compares it to having an airplane in a hangar. Basically, you have the plane for your whole life, polishing it, looking at it, maybe even wondering how it works; what are the logisitics behind it. Instead you should be starting it up, reading the manual as you go; get flying lessons if needed, but don't be afraid to fly. Certainly don't be afraid to crash! After all, what is the worst that could happen: I'd say it's that you lived your whole life with a stupid, shiny airplane sitting in a hangar; fluids hardening, propellors rusting, and then laying down one day and wondering why you never saw anything but the inside of an airplane hangar. Of course you first have to get past all the metaphors and the imagery... Inspired by "The Other 90%: How to Unlock Your Vast Untapped Potential for Leadership & Life" by Robert K. Cooper.
